How to install the launcher
The launcher brings you the full modpack, keeps it updated on its own and starts the game. You cannot join the server without it.
You don't need a separate Minecraft install and you never download mods by hand. The launcher does everything.
#Steps
- Go to lostcube.pro and press the download button. You get a
LostCube-Setup-<version>.exefile. - Open the downloaded file.
- Windows will show a blue screen — "Windows protected your PC". This is normal and it isn't a virus: our installer isn't digitally signed (a signature costs several hundred euros a year).
- Click "More info", then "Run anyway".
- Let the install finish. The launcher starts by itself.
#First launch
On first launch the launcher downloads the modpack. That's a few hundred MB, so it depends on your connection. After that, every time you open it, it only checks what changed and downloads the difference, not everything.
#Recommended settings
The launcher detects your graphics card and picks a profile for you. You can change it any time in settings:
