The First Catch
The quest that teaches you fishing. You build Adrian's fire, cast five times on a bare hook and bring him the catch.

You find Adrian at his hearth. The fire is out — that's your first task.

#Stage 1 — the fire
Adrian won't teach anyone on an empty stomach in the cold. He asks you to bring wood and light the hearth.
"I would, but I caught my leg between two rocks this morning."
#Stage 2 — five casts, no bait
"Go to the fishing spot and cast your line 5 times. No bait for now."
Objective: cast the rod 5 times inside a fishing area.
#Stage 3 — show him the catch
"Take Adrian your catch — one fish is enough. Don't eat it or sell it on the way."
Objectives: keep 1 fish on you and show it to Adrian.
#Rewards
- Simple Bait and the lesson on attaching it: rod in main hand, bait in off-hand, Shift + right-click.
- Fishing profession progress.
- Unlocks the repeatable contract Catch of the Day.
#What happens afterwards
"Not the finest catch in the sea, but it is yours. Now you know what fishing looks like without help."
Adrian opens his repeatable contract, and from here fishing becomes steady income.
